‘Kavalan’ releasing without any hurdles
‘Kavalan’ which was lead to trouble has at last crossed the hurdles and is getting ready for its release.
A couple of days back Madras High Court has stayed the release of the film as per the case filed by J K Saravanan, proprietor of Tantra films. In his plea he stated that producer of ‘Kavalan’ Ramesh Babu has assured him the rights of overseas for Rs five crores and he paid Rs 1.5 crores as advance to the producer. But later Ramesh has sold the rights to Cinema Paradise.
On hearing the case Justice Rajeshwar examined J K Saravanan after which he withdrew his stay. Now as per the decision of the court producer Ramesh Babu and Shakthi Chidambaram have decided to give the color lab agreement to Tantra films Singapore.
‘Kavalan’ is finally free from everything and will be hitting the screens world wide with 1000 prints in the last week of December. Meanwhile Vijay will be coming up with the audio in the first week of December.
